Atorvastatin May Help Reduce Symptoms of Alzheimers'

A study conducted by Sun Health Research Institute in Sun City, Arizona revealed that individuals given atorvastatin (Lipitor®) showed less memory decline than those who were not taking the drug. In studies involving mice, the drug seems to reduce the incidence of plaques and tangles in the brain, which are pathological features significant in the presentation of Alzheimers’ disease.
