Regular Exericse Reduces Cholesterol Levels

Wednesday June 16, 2004
A study published this month in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology reveals that moderate exercise lowers cholesterol by promoting the removal of LDL (the bad cholesterol). HDL, known as the "good cholesterol", also appears to be raised in individuals who exercise regularly. The benefit of exercise is no secret---it has been promoted for many years for improving circulation and immune function and preventing heart disease. However, this research is evidence that regular exercise also benefits your cholesterol levels, which will help protect you against heart attacks and strokes. Read about it out here.
