Caudet (R) Makes Its Debut Today

Thursday June 24, 2004
Caduet (R) has been released by Pfizer today, making it the first drug on the U.S. market that can treat the two most common, controllable risk factors in heart disease: high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The drug is a combination of the two drugs: amlodipine besylate and atorvastatin calcium. Amlodipine, also available separately under the tradename Norvasc (R), is used to treat high blood pressure and angina, while atorvastatin (Lipitor(R)) is also sold separately to treat high cholesterol. For facts and more information about Caudet (R), read here. This drug combination promises to help prevent heart disease and lower the amount of tablets needed by those individuals who need them.
