A Skin Test Developed to Identify Heart Disease

The PREVU Point of Care Sterol Test has been developed to identify individuals at risk for coronary heart disease. This test measures sterols in the skin of the patient. This has been correlated to cardiovascular disease in individuals who have already established heart disease. The effectiveness of this test in indiviuals who do not have a history of heart disease has not been established yet. This test is still undergoing clinical trials. Read more about it..
