A Debut of a Cholesterol-Lowering Beer

Beverage Marketing USA is importing a new beer that is not only low in calories and carbohydrates---it is also good for lowering cholesterol levels. This type of beer is unique in that it uses oats instead of barley in the brewing process. Additionally, the brewing process involves the use of enzymes that results in the beer containing beta-glucans, which are grain fibers that have been previously noted to reduce cholesterol levels. This unique brewing process is patented by Lund University in Sweden and is currently being tested in Sweden for its effectiveness in lowering cholesterol levels. Read more here.
