An Apple A Day Could Keep High Cholesterol Levels Away

There is new evidence that apples may be able to help lower cholesterol levels. Diets high in fiber and low in fat have been linked to maintaining a healthy heart. In this case, apples contain the soluble fiber pectin, which may help in lowering cholesterol levels and performing other health-related tasks, such as maintaining a healthy intestinal tract.
