Diabetes and Heart Disease

A study published by International Diabetes Foundation states that approximately 18.2 million people in the United States have Type II diabetes, but an estimated 5.2 million don't even know they have it. Individuals who have diabetes are also highly susceptible to heart disease, which is an also often a silent disease until a heart attack or stroke occurs.
