Zetia (Ezetimibe) Is Approved In Japan

Zetia (ezetimibe) is a cholesterol-lowering drug that was approved by the FDA in 2002. It is absorption inhibitor that mainly lowers LDL cholesterol levels ("bad" cholesterol). Schering-Plough announced a couple of days ago that ezetimibe was approved in Japan as a cholesterol-lowering agent.
