Are Women Lacking In Their Cholesterol Knowledge?
Saturday August 25, 2007
A survey conducted by the Society for Women's Health Research reveals that adult women are slightly clueless when it comes to their cholesterol. A little over 500 women were interviewed by GfK Custom Research North America between June 29th and July 1st of 2007. The survey addressed several cholesterol-related issues, such as how often they got tested, what their previous cholesterol levels were, and its association with heart disease. Heart disease is the number one cause of deaths in women, and sometimes, the symptoms of heart disease can be harder to detect in women. Despite this, you would think that we would be a little savvy when it came to cholesterol, right? You might be surprised to find out the results of this study. I know that I was.
