Exercise has plenty of healthy benefits, such as exercising our muscles, improving our mental and physical status--not to mention decreasing that waistline. Research has also proven that exercise helps lower our cholesterol through raising our HDL, or "good" cholesterol and lowering our LDL, or "bad" cholesterol.
