Ways to Add Fruit to Your Cholesterol-Lowering Diet

Do you include fruit as a regular part of your cholesterol-lowering diet? If not, it's a good time to start. Fruit can add a delicious and naturally sweet flavor to your favorite foods, without adding sugar or other ingredients that could cause your cholesterol levels to increase. Additionally, fruits are also chock-full of fiber and vitamins, as well as heart-healthy, naturally-occurring chemicals, such as polyphenols and phytosterols. This article includes some easy ways you can sneak fruit into your healthy diet, whether it is adding them to your favorite treat to incorporating them into your main dish.
