Study Says That A Vegetarian Diet Improves Health And Is Easy To Stick With

A recent study published by Dr. Neal D. Barnard and colleagues in the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation concludes that a low-fat, vegetarian diet can help with weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and reverse heart disease. Additionally, this study found that the subjects had no problem making the transition from a conventional diet to a low-fat, vegetarian one, disputing the myth that vegetarian diets are difficult to stay on. Out of the subjects used in the study, 89% said that they had adapted to the diet and 86% of the subjects said that they could continue with the low-fat, vegetarian diet after the study was completed.
