New, Potentially-Life Threatening Side Effects Force FDA to Rethink Crestor

The death of a 39-year-old woman forced the FDA to re-evaluate the risks versus the benefits associated with the drug Crestor. The woman died of a muscle-destroying condition known as rhabdomyolysis, which most often leads to death if not detected promptly. Despite its effectiveness as a cholesterol-lowering agent, many individuals have complained of side-effects associated with Crestor, including kidney disease.Read about this news here.
