Watching your calories, as well as your fat and cholesterol intake, is part of managing your cholesterol through diet. This 2200-calorie meal plan can help make doing this easy.

2 tsp stenol/ light plant sterol spread, such as Benecol

Snack

8 oz nonfat yogurt with 2 tsp honey

1 cup red grapes

Lunch

Beverage: 1 cup (8 oz lemon or orange flavored seltzer)

1 serving Tomato Spinach Soup

1 serving Chicken Caesar Salad

Snack

1 serving (1oz) low sodium wheat crackers

2 tbsp hummus

1 medium orange

Dinner

Beverage: 1 cup (8oz) decaffeinated flavored iced tea

1 serving Low-Fat Chicken, Asparagus, and Quinoa Salad

1/2 cup boiled or broiled edamame (soybean)

1 serving Low-Fat White Turkey Chili

2 Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
