Myopathy

Definition: Myopathy refers to any muscle tissue disease that can arise at any point in life.

Myopathies may include symptoms such as muscle weakness, pain, or the breakdown of muscle tissue. These symptoms can occur in heart muscle, skeletal muscles, or muscles of various organs (for example, the stomach or intestines).
