lots of symptoms but no attention!!

I was 30 when I found my LDL is 225... before taking the blood test, I was always so sleepy even after 8 hours of good nights sleep, most of the time I was bored and a bit depressed. When I found out the story, I started eating more vegetables, lemon juice (alot), husky breads and no sugar or sweets at all. Now it is 105. Thanks GOD.

about ldl

I have redcued my LDL by taking a morning walk and following a good diet. Thanks to this, my LDL is 114 right now. Earlier, it was 160.

ldl was high

My LDL was 130, and I was fifty pounds overweight. My doc was wanting to put me on medicine, or he said that I could lose the weight and maybe my cholesterol would go down. So, I started watching what I ate (whole grains, low saturated fat, and NO fast food) and walked for at least 20 minutes a day and have been losing weight. At my last visit, my LDL was down to 105. I still have a ways to go, but feel so much healthier than was before.

LDL

LOL...I decided to lower my LDL when I found out it was 250! It runs in my family, too, but it scared me because I never knew anything was wrong. Thankfully, I have gotten it down with exercise, eating right, and taking medication. It's running about 120 right now, and I'm fortunate to have gotten it down. Good luck to everyone that's in the same boat I was in!

Why I Did It...

My dad had a heart attack at 50 and it scared the heck out of me...I guess it was because he was so young. When my doc told me my cholesterol was high, I decided to do something about it. I eat right, I exercise regularly because I didn't want to end up like him.
