Simcor: An Up and Coming Cholesterol Lowering Drug That Appears To Pack A Punch

A new cholesterol-lowering medication is on the horizon. Simcor, which is being manufactured by Abbott, is a new cholesterol lowering drug that is a combination of two drugs already approved by the FDA: Niaspan and Zocor. There are a lot of medications on the market that might address and greatly lower LDL or raise HDL, but there isn't anything that greatly impacts all three components of your lipid profile: HDL, LDL, and triglycerides. Can Simcor do the trick? The studies that have been done on Simcor look promising.
